MDU and REIT owners want competition to franchised cable to provide better products and services for residents. That is why MDUs and REITs are working with Private Cable Operators (PCO) to adopt a Program of Excellence to stimulate improvements in the PCO industry.

The POE was designed by Multifamily Owner/Manager members of IMCC and PCO members of IMCC.

The Program of Excellence has three components:

• Standards of Excellence
• Provider Data and Dissemination
• Training and Certification

These Standards of Excellence are presented for your information and comment. The POE Standards are a "road map" to facilitate your business negotiations. The Standards referenced are proposed as topics to be addressed in contract negotiations.

The Standards are not intended to be monolithic, absolute or applicable in every situation. This language is suggestive and not mandatory.
