Finding FCC Regulations

The FCC rules and regulations are codified in Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations. They are initially published in the Federal Register. The FCC does not maintain a database of its rules nor does it print or stock copies of the rules and regulations. That task is performed by the Government Printing Office (GPO). After October 1 of each year, the GPO compiles all the changes, additions, and deletions to the FCC rules and publishes an updated Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

 Select CFR Title 47 -- Selecting Title 47, part 76 will take you to the FCC Wireless Telecommunications Bureau –Rules and Regulations page, which contains additional information on the codification of FCC Rules and Regulations.  From the listing provided select the subject area in which you are interested – Part 76 – Multichannel video and cable television service.  Clicking on the link will take you to the GPO listing of sections in Part 76.  The documents are in text format or acrobat format.  Select the acrobat format for printing and viewing.
